Meredith Salenger
Salenger has a family in Malibu. As a child she enjoyed performing in front of her family and friends. The mother of her child took her to her first acting class when she was eight years old. Her first acting role was just a tiny part of a 'singing and dancing orphan as part of the feature film Annie written by John Huston. Salenger had also been featured in a series of commercials on television. Salenger was first cast in The Journey of Natty Gann from Disney in which she included John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film was awarded the Moscow Film Festival's gold medal as the first US-made movie. She was also named "Best actress in Drama" in the Youth in Film Awards, for her performance as the youthful Natty. At the age of 18, she appeared in four more films, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. After that she made the move to Harvard for the purpose of continuing her studies.
